How to Make a Sticker from Camera Roll

Snapchat is a fun way to communicate with your friends and family. You can send photos, videos, GIFs, and you can add emojis and stickers to your images too. If you don’t wish to use any of the cookie-cutter features that Snapchat has to offer, you can create your sticker using Snapchat’s tools. Here is how you make a sticker from your images.

How to Make a Sticker from Camera Roll

Take a Photo

As you know, your photo will be saved on your camera roll. If you want to make things easier, you will first need to open your Snapchat account and take a photo by clicking on the circle that is center-bottom on the app. When taking photos, remember you can either take rear-facing photos or front photos. Front-facing photos are most often called selfies.

Customizing Your Sticker

Once you have taken the photo, or once you have loaded an image from your camera roll, you will see a set of tools. Tap the scissors icon if you wish to make Snapchat stickers.

Now you have to trace the part of the photo with which you intend to create your sticker. It is a case of working your way around the item to cut it from the screen.

Snapchat will then automatically take a copy of the area you have traced, and store it with all the other custom stickers in your Snapchat menu. Snapchat allows you to move your new sticker around the screen, allowing you to rotate it, to make it smaller, make it larger, and so on. To do this, you will need to make a pinching or expanding gesture with your fingers on the screen.

Where to Find Your Stickers

To find the stickers you have created, you need to go back to where you first found the scissor icon, which is the main edit screen, and this time you must tap on the note icon. It will take you to the list of all stickers you have made, and the Snapchat stickers, and manipulate them on your image.

Within the note tool, you can search on the toolbar for any stickers you have made. You can search for each one by name. If you wish to leave that area, you will need to click on the sticker icon. The sticker icon looks like a picture of a note, and it is on the top-right of the screen.

Using Recent Stickers

If you want to find the stickers you have used recently, then you will need to click on the icon that looks like a stopwatch/ clock. Snapchat will show all the stickers you have used, from the ones you have made and ones from the four tabs (Snapchats stickers).

Stickers Available in Snapchat

Snapchat stickers are the platform’s default stickers. They are free to use, and there are plenty to choose from. The copyrights are not as clear. For example, there is no problem with sharing your Snapchat images (plus stickers) on social media, but there may be a few legal issues if you try to use Snapchat’s stickers on paid entertainment platforms, or on apps that you have developed.

Below is an image of a self-made sticker. As you can see, the larger bear has been replicated to create a smaller bear. It almost looks like a smaller bear is sitting beside the larger bear. That is the magic of Snapchat’s personalized sticker maker.

Using a Snapchat Bitmoji

To use Snapchat Bitmoji, the platform will ask you to set up an account when you sign up through Snapchat. This feature is free to use, and you can use it to customize your Snapchat account avatar. It allows you to look like a cartoon on your Snapchat user icon.

Play with Snapchat a Little

There are various tools and features you can play with on Snapchat. One of the most popular is the emojis. They allow you to add icons that tell what you think and feel, or maybe add a little nuance to your posts.
