How to Get a Discount on Tinder Gold

While Tinder has been around for a while, the platform’s basics have not changed. You still swipe right to approve and left to decline. Consider subscribing to one of Tinder’s premium plans to improve your dating life. There are three subscription tiers: Tinder+, Tinder Gold, and Tinder Platinum. Among them, Tinder Gold is the best of the lot in terms of features. However, the subscription isn’t cheap at $24.99 a month, and for a few more bucks, you can get the Platinum membership instead.

But what if you could get a discount on the Tinder Gold plan? Is that even possible, though?

What Are the Benefits of Tinder Gold?

Tinder Gold lets you see everyone who right-swiped you the moment they do it. If you miss some, you can see them in a personalized Likes You list. When browsing with Tinder Gold, you will see the heart icon next to the matches that previously swiped right on you.

This plan also provides a personalized list of up to ten picks daily. These potential matches are chosen for you by Tinder’s algorithm. You can find these picks in the golden diamond icon section on your profile. Each profile on your personalized list will have a short description, which comes in handy if you need help deciding whether to swipe left or right.

Tinder Gold Features

You can see all your past Tinder likes with the plan. Plus, you can set the notifications to pop up for each new like, every three likes, or every ten likes.

Additionally, you get all the features available in the Tinder Plus package. This includes five Super Likes every day, Passport (ability to change location), an unlimited number of right swipes, one monthly Boost, which makes you the top pick in your area for half an hour, and the ability to undo the last swipe (called Rewind). Of course, Tinder Gold is ad-free.

How Much Does Tinder Gold Cost?

Tinder has an interesting pricing policy regarding its Tinder+, Gold, and Platinum plans. Its pricing seems to vary, but there isn’t a solid reason for it.

Previously, users who were 28 or older had to pay the full price for the upgrade, while those under 28 had to pay less. While it no longer charges users according to age, the difference between Tinder Gold and Tinder Platinum is negligible.

Tinder Gold Price

Tinder Gold’s monthly plan costs $24.99, while a monthly membership of Tinder Platinum costs $29.99. If you opt for the 6-month plan, Tinder Gold will cost you $12.50 per month, and Tinder Platinum $15/month. Lastly, the yearly plan of Tinder Gold costs $8.33 per month, while Tinder Platinum annual subscription costs $10 per month, though you have to pay the entire amount in one go. Before you buy a subscription, know that if you delete your Tinder account, you’ll lose your membership and won’t get a refund.

Pros and Cons of Tinder Gold

On the plus side, you get many cool and helpful features with Tinder Gold. This includes personalized daily lists of potential matches, and you can see all the people who liked you and right-swiped your profile for the additional price.

Tinder Gold UI

On the downside, upgrading your profile to Tinder Gold won’t guarantee you’ll be more successful in getting others to swipe right on your profile. It won’t make your profile more appealing or boost your stats.

As for Tinder Platinum, it offers you the ability to send messages to anyone before matching and see the likes you’ve sent in the last seven days.

How to Get a Discount on Tinder Gold

It is no secret that the Tinder Gold upgrade is costly, especially when compared with the Platinum plan. However, if you can get the Gold membership at a cheaper price, then it makes more sense not to pay a premium for a Platinum subscription.

There are two ways you can get a discount on Tinder Gold membership:

1. Email Offers

Tinder Promotions toggle

All that being said, there is a way you can get a discount for Tinder Gold. That’s through the offer directly from Tinder. These are sent via email to select members. It is still unclear how Tinder chooses the users to offer the discount to, though some users have even received 50% discount offers.

These discounts will usually only last for one or two months. Also, rumor has it that the users canceling the Gold program are more likely to get the discount offer in order to stay. Some users have also been offered discounts upon signing up for the upgrade or shortly afterward.

2. Promo Codes

If you receive an official email from Tinder, you’ll get a genuine Promo Code. Although you can do a quick Google search for Tinder codes and see what works (just don’t give out any personal information or pay for it), Promo Codes are another way to save on Tinder Gold.

How Not to Get a Discount on Tinder Gold

While the methods mentioned above are the only legitimate ways to get a discount on Tinder Gold, you might come across some websites or emails that offer Tinder Gold at a much cheaper price or even free. However, you should avoid them at all costs.

1. Steer Clear of ‘Too Good to be True’ Offers

Many users dissatisfied with the situation and eager to get the Gold membership’s advantage have started looking for ways to get a discount. Many sites have sprung up offering surefire ways and tips on how to get a discount. Some even offer strategies on how to enjoy the Gold status for free.

Sadly, these methods don’t work, and they can’t provide you with a discount or a free Gold membership. Some sites offering them are harmless and are only trying to increase their traffic with such headlines.

There are also those who engage in data harvesting and fraud. If you come across an offer for a discounted or free Tinder Gold membership on a random site, your best bet is to steer away from that site.

2. Scammers

If you’re frequently looking for discounts or ways to get Tinder Gold at a cheaper price, chances are you made it to scammers’ radar. You might start getting emails and text messages from scammers claiming that they can give you Tinder Gold at a much cheaper price. Avoid such emails and text messages.

Don’t engage with such shady Tinder Gold discount emails unless its from Tinder’s official account. You will likely lose your money if you fall for such scams online.

To Gold or Not to Gold

Tinder Gold can be too expensive for some users. Unfortunately, the only legitimate ways to get a discount are through Tinder’s email offers and promo codes. We don’t recommend or support trying third-party solutions and tips.

Do you have Tinder Gold? If yes, is it worth the money? If not, would you give it a try? How about a discount? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

FAQs

Q. How long do I have to pay for Tinder Gold?

A. You can cancel your membership at any time. If you cancel within the billing period, you’ll still have access to Gold benefits until your next billing date. However, if you sign up for the six-month or year option, be sure to log in and cancel before it renews if you don’t want the service.

Those who signed up for a longer service period won’t get a prorated refund. Your Gold membership will remain active until the renewal date.

Q. Does Tinder offer refunds?

A. Officially, no. Tinder will not offer a refund if you sign up for Gold and then decide it wasn’t worth it. If your payment method or account was compromised, then contact Tinder support to request a refund.

If you sign up to pay with your Apple ID, Google Play, or even PayPal, you can request a refund through that service, which may be the only workaround.

Q. Is there a trial period?

A. Nope. When you sign up for Tinder Gold, you’ll immediately go to a payment screen. The payment is drafted as soon as you hit the Confirm option.

Q. Are there discounts for military or students?

A. Not that we’ve seen. There are some sites offering these discounts, but again, those are not official Tinder discounts, so buyers beware.

Q. How do I use a Tinder Gold promo code?

A. To use a Tinder promo code, tap on the profile icon and select Promo code. Punch in your promo code and hit Submit. Pay for the subscription using a payment method of your choice, if applicable.

And the free boost per month is a benefit of it too. So I got $88 of free boosts paying $.33/mo. Lol. I can’t get over it. What a steal. So basically they paid me and gave me boosts to get gold. Haha
Josh says:
Anybody have any tinder promo codes?
Not getting it. says:
The only three real features that Tinder Gold has is
1). The ability to view who liked you.
2). The undo button
3). Your profile can be seen by more users.

Other than those three things, Tinder Gold is not worth the price of $23/month. This is coming from a 27-year-old.

Daniel Beaudry says:
Only 31 and they want me to pay $39.99 a month. No thanks get me a promo deal please.
Tom G says:
I’ve noticed the price on tinder.com (web based) is cheaper than through the android/iphone app.
tarek says:
i noticed the same , i wonder why
A guy says:
Because they can directly bill you that way and don’t need to go through Apple or Android who both take a significant chunk of every transaction made through an app on one of their stores, I think.
Jimmy says:
I am 19 and they are charging $30 a month. I supposed they finally decided to disband their discrimination and screw over everyone. Aren’t we lucky!
Faye Langan says:
im 18 and am charged 14.99 a month??
Matty Boomballatti says:
Gold for the win. 40 year old me pays $14.99 on an iphone promo.
P Brush says:
got any promo code for a 32 year old
Andrew Hilfiger says:
OMG, I can’t believe the prices you guys say. Mine is only 11,99$ per month, or 6,99$ if I chose the 6month option. I’m 18 btw
Chris says:
I’m 29 and it wants $44.99 for a month. That’s outrageous. I haven’t seen anyone else with his pricing. BS.
Kevin says:
This may not be a guarantee. But it happened to me (and has worked for other sites and apps I have been considering)

Hit to sign up, waiting on the payment page for a few moments. Then back out. Generally, within a day or two, you’ll get an email. If it’s not the 50%, keep waiting. (Got 90% off eharmony and 50% off tinder this summer. Both were only their 1 month plans, of course)

Ivy says:
I’m 46 and they want $37.99.
Derek says:
I’m 29, and it’s asking for 41.99 for 1 month gold………….. Seriously
Chuck says:
This is inaccurate. I am 30 and have a Tinder profile. The monthly cost is $15 for month-month and something like $6.82/mo for the annual plan
No one special says:
I’m 38 and tinder is asking $29.99 for a 1 month subscription
Kyle Monahan says:
I don’t think it is worth the full price for Tinder Gold.
Siddharth Tade says:
I want to communicate with new people around me
