How to Download Instagram Stories

Instagram Stories is one of the app’s most popular features. But, unfortunately, Instagram doesn’t let you download content that users upload. Luckily, there are apps for Android and iPhone (iOS) devices that will help you do just that.

In this article, we’ll explain everything you need to know, and also provide an alternative solution that may suit you better.

Download Instagram Stories on Your iPhone (iOS)

While there are many other solutions on the App Store, ReShare Story for Instagram has everything you need and more! Don’t let the name confuse you. This app will not only let you repost someone’s Story but also to keep it on your device. The reason why we love this option is its simplicity. After downloading the app, all you need to do is to login to your account, and you’ll see the list of everyone that you’re following. Tap on any of them, and voila! You’ll not only see thumbnails of all their Stories, but also Highlights and the most recent media. Tap on the content and choose the Save and copy caption option, and it will soon be on your device.

Of course, you can download the content from accounts that you’re not following, as long as they’re open for everyone to view. Reshare Story for Instagram also has an excellent Story Creator tool. This allows you to easily re-upload your old content and even change it a bit to look fresh. Also, you can view Stories anonymously. There’s a Pro version for $9.99, but the free option will be good enough for most users.

This free app requires you to login before it shows you the list of all the accounts you’re following. In addition, you can use the search option for any other profile and check their stories and highlights. After you tap on the content, the app will let you save it on your device, share it, or repost it. Additionally, you can play the video before you do any of that.

The app lets you to login with all your accounts and to switch them easily. If you’re following hundreds of accounts, you’ll be glad to know that you can make the list of your favorites and access them quickly. This app is free and doesn’t contain ads. Unlike ReShare Story for Instagram, it won’t let you download posts, but if you don’t need that option, Story Saver is your best bet. We should mention that Story Saver is also available on iOS devices, but you’ll need to shell out $8,99, as there’s no free option. This version does offer additional features, and logging in is optional. Check it out if ReShare Story for Instagram doesn’t fit the bill.
