How to Make a Collage of Multiple Videos on Instagram

Instagram is a magical place. Or so it can be. It can also be a bit overwhelming if you don’t know what you’re doing. But one of the best things about it is that you get to show off your visual creativity and share it with other people.

You can do so many things. You can use all the filters while you go on long diatribes on Insta Stories. You can also post photos and videos, as well as photo collages. But did you know you can also make a collage of multiple videos?

The Video Collage App

Making collages for Instagram can be a lot of fun. There are so many ways to be creative with them. Instagram users are used to making and viewing photo collages, but is there a way to create a collage of multiple videos?

Anyone who uses Instagram will quickly realize that the app doesn’t have that feature built-in. However, you’ve seen these before, so you know it’s possible to create one. You have to reach for a third-party video editing app to make this happen.

One of the most popular video editing apps that you can use for video collages is PicPlayPost Video Editor. You can get it on the Play Store, App Store, and Windows Store. The app is free, but it may contain some in-app purchases.

How Do You Use It?

Once you download and install the app on your phone, you’re ready to start creating video collages. It’s not complicated, and it’s pretty user-friendly. Here is what you do:

  1. Open the app from your smartphone.
  2. Select one of the many available grid layouts. Scroll through to review.
  3. Tap a space from the grid, and that will lead you to your album from where you can add the videos. You can also add videos from YouTube or select a gif from GIPHY.
  4. The app will retrieve the video, and then you can trim it any way you like.
  5. Finally, tap “Use” when you’re ready.

You can adjust the size of the grid for each video and then repeat the process for other videos. Save the video collage to your phone and then post it to Instagram feed or Instagram Story.

There is a lot you can do with this app. You can mix videos and photos and also add music. You can make slideshows for up to 50 photos. You can also add voice-overs and change the speed of the videos.

You can use up to nine frame photos or video collages, which makes it great for the Top Nine event that takes place every year.

Layout from Instagram

As mentioned, Instagram doesn’t have a built-in collage making feature. But it does have a completely separate app that you can install and use to make collages. It’s called Layout From Instagram, and you can get it from Play Store and App Store. It doesn’t have the video collage making options, but it works well for photo grids.

How to Post a Collage to Your Instagram Story

Once you’re done making the perfect video or photo collage, it’s time to post it. Follow these steps:

  1. Open Instagram and tap an icon on the top left corner of your screen.
  2. Swipe anywhere on your screen to open your phone’s gallery.
  3. At this point, you can add text or a sticker to your collage.
  4. When it’s ready, select “Your Story” on the bottom left of the screen.

That’s it. Now the video collage of your gym workout or lip-syncing will appear in your Story. And it will be there for the next 24 hours for your followers to see.

Amplify Your Creativity with Collage

Collage art is a legitimate art form. It helps a mind see things from a different perspective. Instagram may not have it at hand, but a couple of light apps can help you out with that. It can be a lot more practical than uploading longer videos and having to swipe the photos.
