How To Make Custom Stickers for Snapchat

Many of us loved messing around with stickers and putting them on photos as kids. Snapchat gives us the opportunity to take that creativity into the digital world.

With hundreds of stickers available within the app, there’s pretty much nothing you can’t say with them. You can opt for funny captions and images, the current time and date, your location, or even the current temperature.

But what if this isn’t enough for you? What if you don’t want to limit yourself to Snapchat’s stickers, but make your own instead?

Luckily, Snapchat has added an option that allows you to make custom stickers out of anything your camera can see. Here’s what you need to do:

1. Take a Snap

From the Snapchat main screen, take a photo by pressing the circle at the bottom center of the screen. If you want to make a sticker of your own face, you can just turn the camera around.

2. Outline Your Sticker

From the edit menu, select the scissors icon at the right side of the screen.

Then, all you have to do is draw around the object you want to turn into a sticker, and release to make it. You can use your finger to do this, but if you want a more precise outline, you might want to try a stylus instead.

3. Tweak Your Sticker

As soon as you’re done with the outline, your new sticker will be automatically saved. You’ll see it on your screen, from where you can resize and move the sticker by dragging it around or pinching in and out.

That’s it! In a few simple steps, you can make your own sticker out of anything you want.

Where Are Your Custom Stickers

Every sticker you make gets saved in the Stickers section in Snapchat. To access it, tap on the note-shaped icon at the right side of the screen. You’ll see five symbols representing different sticker types. Tap the scissors icon to see all your custom stickers.

From there, you can tap the sticker to add it to your snap, just like you would any other type. Before you send it, you can resize and move it across the photo.

This is where all of us go when we want to find our favorite stickers. It shows you the stickers you’ve used from other tabs, so that they’re always one tap away from you. Keep in mind that frequency isn’t taken into account, just the last time you’ve used a sticker.

Here you’ll find all the stickers Snapchat has released so far. From the iconic ones like time and weather, to hundreds of fresh stickers updated constantly, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the options.

Snapchat will often place the situation-related or seasonal stickers at the top of the list. If you want to explore all of them, all you have to do is scroll down.

Bitmoji Stickers

Bitmoji is a third-part app, and it is extremely popular among Snapchat users. It allows you to create your avatar and customize it in any way you can imagine.

As far as Bitmoji stickers go, there are many random ones that will make you laugh, and it’s easy to find a sticker that expresses your current mood. Once you open the tab, you’ll see six sub-tabs with all the Bitmoji stickers you’ll ever need.

As one of the oldest ways of expressing emotions in the digital world, Emojis are an essential part of Snapchat. In this tab, you’ll find all the Emojis that your phone has, so browsing through them could take a while. A better solution is to go to the Search bar and type the Emoji you’re looking for.
