How to Get Group Link in Telegram

Everyone has their own favorite text messaging app. Or they might have several and use them all at once. But messaging apps like Telegram are so much more than just texting with your best friend. It’s a space where you can get creative and where you can search for a community.

Along with being able to create your own stickers, you can use Telegram to join channels, and private and public groups. But how do you make the most of joining a Telegram group, and more importantly, how do you get a link to join one?

Getting the Group Link

Before going into what kind of Telegram groups are there to find and which ones could be right for you, let’s see how you get a Telegram group link in the first place. You must have an invite link to join a certain group. Therefore, someone you know who wants you to join a group has to send you a link. And another option is to look for Telegram group links online that you’d like to join.

But if you’re someone who’s already in a Telegram group and you’re having a lot of fun or you’re learning a lot, you can get the group link and send it to someone else. Don’t confuse this with being the owner of a group, which you can, incidentally, also do. To get an invite group link from a Telegram group you’re only a member of, this is what you need to do:

  1. Open the Telegram app and then open the group for which you want the link.
  2. Then tap the name of the group you see on top of the screen.
  3. Scroll down a bit and you’ll see “Invite Link” under the “Info” section.
  4. Tap the invite link and select the link recipient from the panel. Or press the invite link and copy to send.

Links in the Group

If you want to leave the group, you just have to tap the name of the group and then the menu in the group (three vertical dots) and select “Leave Group”. That’s always a useful thing to keep in mind. You’re not tied to the group unless you want to be. But what else can you find there? In the group menu, when you scroll down a bit, you can see “Links” under section “Shared content”.

This means that all the links shared within the group will be listed there. If a group is really big, you might find thousands of different links. Some of them will be links for other groups, and even links to other groups in different messengers. And some of them will be just websites that group members have listed.

You’ll also be able to see and share photos, videos, and audio files that are available in the group. And since those are public groups, you’ll be able to see all the Telegram users that are members of that group. There’s a lot of potential for sharing and communication with Telegram Groups.

Popular Group Links

After the latest Telegram update, groups can now support up to 200,000 members. That’s a lot of people, and it’s hard to imagine how can anyone follow anything there. But these groups aren’t private and it’s not about your close circle of people. It’s a space for companies and brands to share updates, and it can be a great place to find something specific you’re interested in.

For example, you can find Telegram English Group Links to Join where people gather around the love of the English language and talk about their favorite writers, grammar, and other English-related topics. You can also find Telegram groups strictly based in the US, for example, and then join discussions about things pertaining to the issues in the country.
