Share Files Up to 2GB Directly on WhatsApp

If the file you’re sending is large but isn’t above 2GB, you’ll have no issues sending it directly on WhatsApp. Here’s how you can send your file.

1. Open WhatsApp and select the conversation you want to send the file to.
2. Tap the plus icon at the bottom left.
3. In the pop-up menu, select Document or Photo & Video Gallery, depending on what you need to send.
   
4. Tap the send button at the lower left once done.

Remember you can delete WhatsApp messages after they are sent, so you can always delete any shared file to prevent the recipient from downloading it. However, this will only work as long as the receiver has not already downloaded and saved the file.

Compress Videos

Send Files via iCloud on iPhone

1. Open the Files app.
2. Tap Browse and select On My iPhone.
3. Select the ellipsis icon at the top right and tap Select.
4. Check the files you want to send.

6. Go back to the previous menu and select iCloud Drive.
7. Long-press the screen and tap paste.
8. Tap the file and then select Collaborate located under the file name.
9. Select WhatsApp and choose the contact to send the link to.

Once you have the link, send it to the recipient on WhatsApp.

Share Files Through WeTransfer
